WHO WE ARE

Zenith eye focus was conceived of in the early 2000s by a group of friends from South Central LA that shared interests of all things art and science. The original members were Brek, Jrat, and OBLVN. The 3 would meet almost daily and listen to music, explore art from past and present, and breakthroughs in science and technology that each other had discovered. At the time OBLVN was studying at CSULA and interning at the JPL. Jrat was writing music by producing his own beats and sharpening his lyrical raps. Brek was painting graffiti art and moving to canvas as his medium. This was a time before social media and influencers. It was a time where information was passed along by word of mouth, where you had to be actively part of a scene to understand the importance of such things.

The three of them went on to follow their own paths but remained close friends over the years. Then in 2024, nearly 2 decades after its inception, they decided to reform the group. This time they were joined by Ruben Palencia, a fabricator and car enthusiast that has worked with big name artists to help them develop their vision of larger art pieces, and Rafael Reyes, an established artist who was already making big waves in the LA art scene and showing at established museums such as the Hammer.
